CURRENT EXHIBITION

Exhibition Title: NATURE, HORSES, MAGIC
Artist:  KATE DEBBO
Dates:  5 July - 5 October 2021

Margaret River artist, Kate Debbo creates life-affirming and joyful works that are abstracted, colourful landscapes and florals in oil paint. Her works are visceral, naïve, emotive and painterly. Debbo is inspired by her beautiful surroundings. Her daily wanderings with her dog in the forest, a collection of special memories and adventures with her family and more. Frequently she explores the symbolism of the horse within the landscape. Horses reflect domesticity but also link to a more magical world and a nostalgic look at the past, representing beings or people and standing for freedom, a playful invitation to a better world. Through her work she hopes to capture the magic in the every day.
